Fret not of the evildoers,
Envy not for iniquity;
Nor jealous of wrong pursuers,
Darkness gives them ability.
For they will soon fade like the grass,
Wither like the green herb and die;
As the season goes, they will pass,
Since God and His Law they deny.
Trust in the Lord and do your best,
Befriend faithfulness where you live;
Never putting God to the test,
Rather thank Him what He does give.
Delight of yourself in the Lord,
He gives desires of your heart;
As you remain in one accord,
Enables His Word to impart.
Commit your way unto the Lord,
Trusting in Him and He will act;
Never letting Him be ignored,
For you know He has an impact.
He will bring forth your righteousness,
And your justice as the noonday;
He sees you of your preciousness,
Whenever you trust and obey.
Be still as you wait patiently,
Fret not over someone who thrives;
Supporting the Lord fervently,
As His Spirit incites and drives.
Cease from anger and forsake wrath,
Since it only tends to evil;
Because darkness will cross your path,
Which brings favor to the devil.
Evildoers will be cut out,
While standing on sinking sand;
Wait for the Lord without a doubt,
Shall be inheriting the land.
