 Elena's Humming Soul

IS IT?

Is it the silk

in black that summon

the eyes to tears,

or is it the old wicks

clad in orange flame,

the old melodies—perhaps

wafting golden memories,

or the haughty chandeliers that

scorn a smile or

Is it the warm air beneath

forming clusters

of emptiness?

But what is this—

faint light within her,

This immaculate serenity

eroding the barriers

of darkness and pains...

Such that—joy bursts

forth at dawn like the

colorful blossoms in summer.

And there’s nothing—

more beautiful

than that.

Author's Note:
When we have our own peace,
then we have that radiance
nothing and no one can ever take.
