Because of Prayer
I survived a recent emergency
Very simply because of prayer
A petition to God on my behalf
By those who truly care.
For which I'm eternally grateful
And forever in their debt
That they thought well enough of me
To pray my needs be met.
For me, a man of no renown
Insignificant to some
Yet one who knows beyond a doubt
How blessed he has become.
Yes, blessed with a second chance it seems
That might not have been mine
Had it not been for prayerful souls
Who simply took the time.
Therefore, I'll not forget them
And what God did for me
At a time when I, because of prayer
