A girl in a rush

In slip and high heels

She ran for the bus,

A girl in a rush

she was late getting up.

A job application,

A salon in town,

Didn’t want to be late,

Punctuality counts.

A dress on a hanger,

No time for the toast,

A two-piece forgotten,

As too was her coat.

Self-confident bounce,

Firm envious lift,

No need of support,

She was ever so fit.

The conductor was speechless,

The driver agog,

The boss so admired her,

She gave her the job.
