Foolishness
The world has called it foolishness
That God would send His son
To Earth as a blood sacrifice
For each and every one.
That He had to be crucified
His blood shed for us all
To give all men a lively hope
Who heed the Gospel call.
But scoffers see it as far-fetched
And continue to be blind
To the fact that Christ, the Lamb of God
Was sent to save mankind.
Though legions of His angels
Could have quickly set Him free
Our savior chose to die alone
Upon that cruel tree.
