Troublesome Topic
It's easy not to talk about
Our eternal destiny
A topic sometimes troublesome
From which we often flee.
Even more so if we stand outside
The realm of saving grace
And continue with excuses when
Indifference is the case.
But we know that God will save us
If we let Him have His way
And yet, we feel that He can wait
Until another day.
A day which may not ever come
Since life hangs by a thread
But in spite of that, we make the choice
To forge full steam ahead.
Which causes us to wrongly think
That we have lots of time
Since God's gift of salvation free
Is available anytime.
But we must open up our eyes
And thereby come to see
The danger found in gambling with
Our eternal destiny.
