Poetic Verses
As Any of Us Should
You may not have those finer things,
but still, your life is good
for which you ought to thank the Lord
as any of us should.
For your circumstance could quickly change
when you might least expect
should you become a victim of
poor judgment or neglect.
And because we have no faculty
to see what lies ahead,
it's urgent that we serve the Lord
while on this earth we tread.
Therefore, I would encourage you
to heed these words of mine,
since I was once lost without hope
having no concept of time.
But you don't need those finer things
to count your life as good
and so, you ought to thank the Lord
as any of us should.
