Once Bitten, Twice Shy
To fool me once was your fault
That happened by design
But should you get a second chance
The error would be mine.
Therefore, it's clear what I must do
To find true peace within
I now must purge you from my life
And not serve you again.
I think once bitten, twice shy
From now on I will be
Though wickedness at every turn
Can make that hard to see.
Oh, I'm sure you'll keep on tempting me
With sly words to entice
But Satan, I must tell you now
You will not fool me twice.
