 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

Be gracious unto me,
As man tramples upon;
So oppressed, hear my plea,
They blast from dusk till dawn.

My foes trample all night,
Attacking all day long;
I do not wish to fight,
Punish them for their wrong.

For I am so afraid,
And put my trust in You;
I am weak being frayed,
Not knowing what to do.

What can flesh do to me?
With the Lord by my side;
You give insight to see,
How they cheat and have lied.

All day they hurt my cause,
Enticed with evil thought;
Attempting to make flaws,
Against what I was taught.

They lurk and stir up strife,
And watching of my pace;
As they wait for my life,
For falling in disgrace.

Will they escape of crime,
In wrath cast down on them;
An eternal in time,
O God, can you condemn?

You kept count of tossing,
A bottle for my tears;
Of the double crossing,
They did, causing my fears.

For when I call on You,
Then shall my foes turn back;
So I can bid adieu,
The righteousness they lack.

From death You saved my soul,
Kept my feet from falling;
As you be in control,
Guided by Your calling.
