Oak Dance
When rain arrests, the worst of the wind arrives
an oak tree holds, unable to navigate, negotiates.
Absorbs storm's anger with port de bras branches
allows an uninvited guest to pass through, adagio.
Fakes half turns, takes false pirouettes with each gust
bends without breaking and holds its carriage together.
Without fear of falling, clumsy or arabesque, stays
to beckon this March poet, come, dance until dusk.
