To whom I love and long for,
Being as my joy and my crown;
Stand firm in the Lord ever more,
Making you smile not to frown.
I bid to agree in the Lord,
True companion to help others;
For if you are in one accord,
Give aid to sisters and brothers.
For those who labored side by side,
Preaching the Gospel together;
As your fellow workers abide,
In the temple where we gather.
Rejoice in the Lord that I say,
And again I will say rejoice;
Continue to trust and obey,
And proceed to lift up your voice.
Let your moderation be known,
Because our Lord is at hand;
Remember you are not alone,
While following His command.
Be not anxious about nothing,
Everything by supplication;
Having prayer through of thanksgiving,
Continue in dedication.
Because the peace of our God,
Surpasses all understanding;
As your heart does honor and laud,
Your mind in Christ for expanding.
Whatever is true and pleasing,
That is honorable and just;
Excellence that is unceasing,
Worthy of praise of whom you trust.
What you have learned and have received,
All that you have heard and have seen;
Practice the things you have believed,
In the God of peace what has been.
