Oh how I love Your Law,
I meditate all day;
Never to trip or fall,
When I trust and obey.
Your commands make me wise,
For seeing through my foe;
Since they open my eyes,
When and where they may go.
Much more understanding,
Than all of my teacher;
My study demanding,
To be a far reacher.
For Your testimony,
Is my meditation;
Sweeter than the honey,
Without imitation.
For I understand more,
As I keep Your precepts;
Of ages at the core,
Of the ancient concepts.
I will hold back my feet,
From every evil way;
For there is no deceit,
Your Word makes not me stray.
I do not turn aside,
Avoiding of Your rules;
They taught me to abide,
Not to be like the fools.
For how sweet is Your Word,
Tastes sweeter than honey;
So sweet what my ears heard,
Worth more than all money.
Through Your precepts I get,
Hating every false way;
Because I never fret,
Understanding each day.
