Poetic Verses
Oh Parent
Many has said that there is no job harder that that of a parent,
Trying to hone and shape a child into a responsible citizen,
On looking at that bundle of joy resting peacefully in the cradle
Hoping to find that energy to perform the action very capable.
And as there is that fist stage getting over that hurdle,
Noting that there was a performable that was so admirable,
Feeling too some measure of pleasure as there is screams of delight,
As the child make an achievement and the eyes beam so bright.
As there is continued growing and that steering along the way,
Those loving hands in parental guidance come into play,
But an occasion comes when there is joy, and yet indeed a heavy heart,
Now grown up and are taking that steps to college will depart.
Now it is time to put that training gained in the home institution,
Are now put to test, as there is that facing of some tight situations,
Alone and the time has come to show that independence,
So far away from the support of the parental dependence.
A thing over time that most parent indeed come to fear,
Wondering how the offspring will deal with that pressure from a peer,
Then there is that phone call to sometimes to relive a scenario,
And there is that feeling of approval as it was handle in a manner that is mature.
Among the things most parents say they have great trepidation,
Is how there is that handling of the financial situation,
Hoping that there will exercise some form of prudence,
As they handle the finances carefully, not like an erratic student.
There is that keeping the distance, and certainly being quite near.
There will be mistakes, but give them a chance to repair,
Let that advice be give in a manner, not to be seen as admonishment,
Because a parent cannot be around to help in every instance.
