Is the Law then contrary,
To the promises of God;
But it does make life wary,
Whenever you become flawed.
Righteousness is by the Law,
Been given that could give life;
For avoiding any flaw,
Cuts down the amount of strife.
Scripture captures under sin,
Promised by faith under Christ;
Those who believe deep within,
That the world has not enticed.
We were captive through the Law,
Until faith would be revealed;
The promise from light you saw,
The mystery was unsealed.
The Law was a guardian,
Till faith made it justified;
Since Christ is the champion,
After being crucified.
Under the Law no longer,
Because faith has come about;
As belief becomes stronger,
Will be fading any doubt.
You are sons of God through Christ,
Because you have been baptized;
Since Jesus was sacrificed,
Though believers are chastised.
There is neither Greek nor Jew,
Neither is there free nor slave;
Man or woman can construe,
To be rescued from the grave.
If you are in Jesus Christ,
You are heirs to the promise;
Seed from Abraham sufficed,
That faith has given justice.
