Why do we hide our feelings?
Is it a crime to show the truth?
Isn't it better to be open?
Tell it loud and shout it from the roof!
Life is only a blink of an eye,
Time passes away so fast,
So tell how it is, don't hide it,
Remove that hideous mask!
For a mask is all it is,
When we don't show how we feel,
So take it off, come into the light,
Say it as it is for real!
There are no dress rehearsals,
We only get one shot at life,
So make it count, tell how it is,
Remove all sadness and strife…
Get it out into the open,
Open your heart and let the world see,
You, the one that's true…
And be what you want to be!
Why do we hide, what's the reason?
Are we scared of the truth it invokes?
Afraid to tell them, ‘I love you.'
Is it like bile in our throat that chokes?
We shy away from the truth,
And the fear of hurt and pain,
So we don't tell how it is…
Tell me, what do we gain?
Nothing, we gain nothing,
For we are the ones that lose out,
So tell as it is, open your mouth,
And strongly and boldly shout!!!
