Poetic-Verses

'' To Us, The Younger Generation ''

Not in our day,
We their forebearers say,
We never left anyone bereft,
We earned our pay,
Never caused affray,
There was no killing or theft?

With love all around,
Peace could be found,
Anywhere and everywhere, we went,
Our morals were sound,
We all went around,
We did nothing, without proper consent.

Good we were taught,
 We never fought?
For all we had utmost respect,
With no-one distraught,
We did what we ought,
Everything we did was correct.

Obeyed every command,
That was our brand,
Nothing to us was hard labour,
Do you understand,
How life was grand,
We knew how to live with our neighbour.

Your version sounds great,
But I have to state,
It's enough to make the young scream,
There was no hate?
You didn't berate?
Your version of life is dream.

Since humans appeared,
All have been feared,
By others as well as our own,
Let's get this cleared,
Each other we've smeared,
I'm afraid your cover's been blown.

Your version is clean,
Yet when it is seen,
In your day, you did much the same,
At times you were mean,
You let chaos convene,
Others you loved to defame.

Hypocrisy is rife,
It is part of your life,
We require a better foundation,
Fantasy is rife
Your lies cause strife,
