Listen to advise and accept,
That you may gain future wisdom;
About the heavenly concept,
That prepares you for His Kingdom.
Many are the plans of mankind,
But is the purpose of the Lord;
For heavenly thoughts in your mind,
And start thinking in one accord.
What is desired in a man,
Better than someone a liar;
Steadfast love that fits in His plan,
As a heavenly desire.
The fear of the Lord leads to life,
Whoever has rests satisfied;
He is not visited by strife,
For anyone who will abide.
A slothful sluggard hides his hand,
Within the bosom of their dish;
Back to his mouth from its demand,
Upon hunger becomes his wish.
Strike a scoffer to learn prudence,
Reprove a man of understanding;
For gaining knowledge on penance,
To what the Lord is commanding.
Do violence to his father,
Will be bringing reproach and shame;
They also chase away their mother,
Pointing otherwise on the blame.
Cease in hearing the instruction,
The words of knowledge you will stray;
Expect temptation seduction,
That will cause you to disobey.
The worthless witness mocks and scorns,
At even the sight of justice;
Devoured by evil who sojourns,
Iniquity through covetous.
Judgment is prepared for the scoffers,
Condemnation for the scorners;
The backs of fools who are quaffers,
For the beating of the mourners.
