You have followed my teaching,
My conduct and aim in life;
My steadfastness far reaching,
Patience in the midst of strife.
Persecutions to suffer,
That has happened unto me;
But the Lord there to buffer,
Solutions as to foresee.
All who want to live godly,
Live godly in Jesus Christ;
For setting mind and body,
On Heaven to be enticed.
Evil folks and seducers,
Are going from bad to worse;
Deception as imposters,
Having a life that is curse.
Continue in what you learn,
And that you firmly believe;
What you spiritually earn,
The salvation you receive.
For how from your childhood,
That you have been acquainted;
Sacred writings understood,
That never have been tainted.
All Scripture breathed out by God,
Profitable as doctrine;
Adhering not to be flawed,
For spiritual discipline.
The man of God be perfect,
Furnished unto all to good;
Scripture never to reject,
But by doing as you should.
