Loss

Oh, how the sweet wind slaps and blows
As people come and people go!
My heart is in two -
And It's not ‘cause of you!
Long lost connections
Deep, concentrated reflections
For dust we are and dust return
As the the rest of the world groans and mourns.
The pangs of loss cannot be adequately expressed
Through drive heaving distress…
I have walked a thousand moonless miles
Never to think the pain would come in so many styles.
I am at a loss and at a crossroads as to how to proceed –
Do I fight it all or curl up and quietly concede?
Time will tell and its just as well.
