Lord God, you made Heaven and earth,
Great power from Your outstretched arm;
Nothing too hard with priceless worth,
Total protection from all harm.
You show a steadfast love to thousands,
But repay guilt of the fathers;
Giving wrath unto the husbands,
Mistreated children and mothers.
Great in counsel and mighty deed,
Whose eyes are open to all ways;
Sees the children that are in need,
Rewarding who trusts and obeys.
You have shown such signs and wonders,
To this day among all mankind;
Rebuking the one who slanders,
Punish those who are maligned.
Your outstretched arm with a strong hand,
You halt the onslaught of terror;
Smiting those with Your voice command,
Reprimanding those in error.
We have been given by You this land,
Land flowing with milk and honey;
On solid rock as where I stand,
To prosper and making money.
We entered and took possession,
But some did not obey Your voice;
Lust and greed was their obsession,
Keeping them from praise and rejoice.
The siege mounts up and trying to steal,
Fighting famine and pestilence;
I look for Your spiritual zeal,
To give me a greater defense.
Of what You spoke has come to pass,
I want to behold to see it;
Scoffers and mockers who harass,
Not be able to inherit.
