IN THE WILDERNESS CALLED YOU

the better butter
biscuit
of my mornings

the sun rise that is
found in
the opening of your green eyes

you light up the city
wherever you go
and harnessed the lightning
I'm certain you're
the origin
of electricity

the sun-lit prince of winter
presciently wise on the day
of your birth

the thorns in my heart
have become little splinters
how you've seeded the flowered-fields
with golden lions with your voice,
songs and words

your music rises like seedlings
and gathers on the wind
beneath an adoring  watchful moon

I'd travel through time
saddling  a tesserect
so I could find my way
back to each renewed version of you

your voice brings a flutter
with a  park
you're the lark
giving wings to my earth-bound heart

I've mended myself
in my broken places

I've been reclaimed
to my utter amazement
finding a welcoming
in the wilderness that's you......
