TIME IS OF THE NONSENSICAL

the watch
hid her hands
so I couldn't see
shortening an arm
on one side

and time
an ungenerous spender
and miser
hid its unbalanced sheet
disregarding
any need to be prompt

so I'm free
as a weight
and frayed as a seam
though the lines
which time attempted to
define were
forgot

dependence on time
runs the clock
no show no place no winners

my eyes face front
knowing dinner never lasts
and many suppers end
with the last one
