We ourselves are Jews by birth,
And not as Gentile sinners;
Sojourning here on planet earth,
In a journey as beginners.
We know that one is justified,
By our works under the Law;
But by faith in the crucified,
For cancelling out any flaw.
Our attempt as justified,
We too were found to be sinners;
A servant to the crucified,
That is making us as winners.
If I rebuild what I tore down,
I prove to be a transgressor;
As I humbly wearing a frown,
Until I am a confessor.
Through the Law I died to the Law,
So that I might live in the Lord;
He has rescued me from the fall,
Knowing my plea is not ignored.
I have been crucified with Christ,
It is no longer I who live;
Rather in Christ as sacrificed,
Knowing the Father did forgive.
I live by faith as now I live,
Knowing the Son of God loves me;
For the salvation He does give,
With wisdom and insight to see.
I do not nullify His grace,
If righteousness came through the Law;
His death would not feel His embrace,
And I would decay through my flaw.
