As you have always obeyed,
Not only in my presence;
For no longer have you strayed,
When being from my absence.

Work out your own salvation,
With having trembling and fear;
You are a new creation,
As spiritually sincere.

It is God who works in you,
To will and work good pleasure;
Always telling what is true,
Obedient to measure.

Do all things without grumbling,
Never argue or dispute;
Cause to falter by stumbling,
That could make your rotten fruit.

Be blameless and innocent,
A child without blemish;
One that is beneficent,
Someone that God will cherish.

Shine as a light in the world,
Shine like the stars in the sky;
This generation has hurled,
Methods that would make you fry.

Hold fast to the Word of life,
The day that Christ may be proud;
I did not run to cause strife,
But proclaim the Word out loud.

If I am poured as a drink,
Offered as a sacrifice;
My faith rejoices to think,
To meet Christ in Paradise.

Likewise you too should be glad,
Celebrate in joy with me;
The Gospel is ironclad,
In giving insight to see.
