The pathway of confidence,
That foolish people will boast;
Their folly of their defense,
Approved sayings loved the most.
Like sheep are laid in the grave,
Death shall then be their shepherd;
Iniquity as a slave,
Not adhering to the Word.
The upright rules over them,
Beauty consumed by the grave;
For where they dwell will condemn,
Having no faith that will save.
But God will redeem my soul,
From the power of the grave;
Receiving me to control,
No longer as to enslave.
Fear not of someone with wealth,
When the glory increases;
He blooms from spiritual health,
On actions that God pleases.
When He dies, he takes nothing,
His glory will not go down;
Rather his belief will bring,
Beauty of a golden crown.
While he lives God will bless,
Getting praise when he does well;
Discipline as to transgress,
Not confessed will go to hell.
Because his generation,
Will never again see light;
Of what his father had done,
In giving of his insight.
The lack of understanding,
But honor he does cherish;
Like a beast is demanding,
In the end will then perish.
