How long will You forget me?
How long to hide Your face?
I am blind cannot see,
For feeling Your embrace.
How long must I counsel,
With sorrow in my heart;
My plea did You cancel,
From my life You depart.
How long shall any foe,
To exalt over me;
Only You ever know,
In their mind what they see.
Consider and hear me,
O Lord light up my eyes;
Lest I sleep to be free,
The sleep of deathly lies.
My enemy prevails,
Lest my foes have rejoiced;
If agony curtails,
Mockery they have voiced.
But I have put my trust,
Within Your steadfast love;
For Your mercy is just,
Your salvation thereof.
I will sing to the Lord,
For He has dealt with me;
While I have adored,
His grace bountifully.
