True Colours

The Leader said he was a Socialist
But he didn't like the Leftie thing
And he gently parked his Party
Alongside the Tory Left Wing,
(Which made him a Leftie Tory
With no regard for voter base,
The Unions and the workers,
An Almost  complete about face.)
They squabbled and they argued
Trying  to destroy the other's faction
While a Near Fascist Government
Took advantage of their inaction.
Now we walk the political wilderness
While the Government remakes the law
And takes other actions to ensure
We remain there for evermore.
It's time we were honest and
Split the our Party in two
One half Labour Party Red
The other a  near Tory Blue.
After years of indecision
It really is time at last
For each faction to nail
Their true colours to the mast.
Maybe then we could progress,
Give the voters  a real choice,
Not just two supposed opposites
Both speaking with the same voice.
