King Hezekiah
Some say God never answers prayer
Or has no change of plan
But He did so for an ancient king
Who was a dying man.
Hezekiah was the ruler who
Had learned his death was nigh
When a prophet came to let him know
That soon he was to die.
The king was hurt and turned away
As his eyes filled up with tears
But when he prayed for added days
God gave him fifteen years.
Yes, God can surely change His mind
As He did for an ancient king
A dying man who found through faith
The blessings prayer can bring.
