Meant for Everyone
The Lord taught true humility
When He washed the disciples' feet
And showed us by example how
Each other we should treat.
That we might serve our fellow man
Even those of low estate
The poor and most downtrodden who
Deserve a better fate.
For regardless of one's lot in life
Be it privileged or deprived
To place someone ahead of self
Is a virtue to be prized.

That we commit to selflessness
Lest pride leads us astray.
