O you are an afflicted one,
Not comforted and storm tossed;
Because of what you have not done,
Paid the toll on the bridge you crossed.
God sets stones in the fair colors,
Lays foundation in sapphires;
Paving the way for your brothers,
Beauty your sister acquires.
He will make windows of agate,
All of the walls with precious stones;
Carbuncles to cover the gate,
Curing your ills to stop your groans.
All of your children shall be taught,
In Scripture given by the Lord;
And great shall be the peace you sought,
Of your children God has adored.
In righteousness is established,
You shall be far from oppression;
No longer have fear or anguished,
Temptation not an obsession.
If anyone is stirring strife,
It is not coming from the Lord;
Not fall for your sake for your life,
If you remain in one accord.
He made the smith fanning the coal,
Making weapons for its purpose;
With a shield to protect your soul,
And the armor to encompass.
No weapon fashioned shall succeed,
In judgment that would ever condemn;
Against a servant cause to bleed,
Rather those who are foes to them.
