Funny old world these days, ennit?
After many bitter battles being fought
We have, within limits, achieved
Freedom of speech and thought.
Now the New Media Warriors free
To explore and vent their spleen.
It's so easy to be bold and brave
In front of a tablet or a PC screen.
On the net screaming invective
Really ranting and raving, the biz.
Not so many in the world so ready to
Put their money where their mouth is.
I love the internet because
It's opened the world to me
To learn, rediscover friends,
And so much of it is free.
Sadly it's given the chance for those
Ever ready to prattle and create
Their little dark worlds where they
Preach violence, intolerance and hate.
It's so easy to be controversial
From the world of Cyberspace
I wonder how many are so brave
There in the real world and face to face.
