Can't buy me love?

She says
the antique blacksmith's shop
set off the road, on our main street
has a black metal hurricane lantern.
A heart window is set in its door.
She says with a smile, it's no longer for sale.

Every trip to town, she visits there.
Sometimes stops by to see it.

She says
a coffee cup candle glows inside it. She says she knows
that's where all of love is housed and kept, burning.
Set on a center shelf, the lantern gives light to every room.
She and the shop owner agree to leave her lamp, there.
Who am I to argue?
