ENLARGING YOUR HEART

JOY SUN

DEDICATION

"That I may know Him".

"O ye Corinthians, our mouth is opened unto you, our heart is enlarged." (2 Corinthians 6:11).

"For out of the hearts proceedeth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" (Matthew 15:19).

"God hath set eternity within our hearts" (  )

"But the LORD said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh upon the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7).

"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." (Matthew 12:34).

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).

"He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the King shall be his friend" (Proverbs 22:11).

The heart is a spiritual territory where one's spirit is found, navigates and interacts with other spirits and locates blessings. It is the engine room of blessings and curses, victory and defeat, success and failure. We first achieve or become or secure anything in the heart. It is an invisible apartment owned by everyone and can be utilized positively or wasted. Faith, the achievement magnet or spirit can only operate in a clean heart.

Why do we have to make more room in our hearts? The Bible says:

"Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels (obviously, clean vessels) abroad of all thy neighbors; even empty vessels; borrow not a few." ( 2Kings 4:3).

Implying that the size of clean available space we have in our hearts determine the quantity of blessings we are bound to receive.

The debris in an unclean heart is enough trouble. Some people are bound or captives in strong or well secure prisons in their hearts. Have you read the book THE HEART OF MAN? Now the pictures both of demons typified by various animals and their attitudes which people possessed by them exhibit according to that little book is true. In one of the scriptures above, Jesus said people first commit fornication or adultery in their hearts, people first steal in their hearts, etc.., which is why the saying "Watch your thoughts, they become your words, watch your words,  they become your actions, watch your actions, they become your behavior, watch your behavior, they become your attitude, watch your attitude, it becomes your habit" holds true. Nobody has ever committed a fornication that was not first in their heart, a murder that was not first in their heart; any act at that. The heart, which is just our imagination, is like the dark room in a photo studio that produces the images snapped on a film. As a law, you would not produce a picture (which corresponds to an act) that is not there. The law remains true: garbage in, garbage out. People who rape children first do it in their hearts or imagination, and delight in it secretly till what goes on in their hearts betray them. If I were you, I would be building the houses I wanted to build in my heart, meeting the woman I want to marry in my heart, and doing all the good things I expect to have in the physical within my heart, because they will surely be birthed in the physical. Imagine the embarrassment and punishment thieves have, because they first engaged in the act in their heart, meaning that they don't use their hearts rightly or profitably. The heart is like an atomic bomb. You can use it for or against yourself. The only deceit people carry about is that no one sees what goes on in their hearts which inadvertently expresses itself and always does, in the physical. There are three (3) types of hearts viz: 1. The Lips. 2. The tongue and 3. The heart of hearts. These are different from various kinds of hearts which include: "Hard heart", "Broken heart or spirit", "Glad heart", "Merry heart", "Joyful heart", "Wicked heart", "Unbelieving heart", "Stony heart", "Foolish heart", etc. We may call these hearts: "The First heart", "The Second heart", and "The Third heart." These three express our attempt to conceal truth. But the fact remains that no matter how we are hypocritical and pay lip service and speak sugar coated words, one day, we will deliver like a pregnancy what is or goes on in our heart of hearts.
