The Backyard Of My Life

Bridge Over A Sea Of Sorrow

Wings of desire don't fail me now
Fly me to the bridge over a sea of sorrow
The white winged dove a silhouette in the sun
Lets all stop holding on to the past whats done is done

Feathers of freedom don't let me down
On the golden highway on the yellow brick road
Searching for some answers in the dark dusty desert
People we need to remember what we came here for

Was it for money was it for greed
To catch capitalism finally succeed
Destroy the world instead of taking what we need
Make people sick and poor
Fear famine and war
Anyone with a heart surly cant take anymore

Flames of liberty burn long into the night
Lets get back on to the right thing
Somewhere there's a song been sung by a silver sparrow
We have forgot about love with no direction like a broken arrow

With heads in the sand
We will never understand
The future is ours if we want it
Love in colour and peace on earth
You can call me crazy but for what its worth
If we could get it together we could make things work

Wings of faith hold steady and strong
Through these times of trouble
Looking for white winged dove in the windy wreckage
A sign of hope and glory
A brighter better day
There is no other way
Maybe we could build a bridge over a sea of sorrow
