footprints in the earth.....
Old Soul
I remember that old road
That leads to that old town
I remember the church
We used to go on Sundays
To pray
I am trying to find your graveside
If I can't I will walk by
Whisper a prayer
Seeing people in their old clothes
Smiling in the sun
Old soul
It is still the same world
You aren't really gone
I am trying to get some water
I will go into town to get some
I still wish for more
Yet I should be thankful to the Lord
For a part of the world
I must call my home
Old Soul
It is still the same world
That leads to that old town
I remember the church
We used to go on Sundays
To pray
I am trying to find your graveside
If I can't I will walk by
Whisper a prayer
Seeing people in their old clothes
Smiling in the sun
Old soul
It is still the same world
You aren't really gone
I am trying to get some water
I will go into town to get some
I still wish for more
Yet I should be thankful to the Lord
For a part of the world
I must call my home
Old Soul
It is still the same world
