My Poetry

The Big Day For A Bride

A day to remember for the rest of her life
She is surely excited to become someone's wife
And the dress that she wears is only for one day
While she gets ready, she begins to pray

It seemed like yesterday that they just met
And here they are now, not married yet
She knows that she will be a bride soon
And she knows the wedding is at noon

The car is there to take her to the farm
She's in the car on her way to the barn
The wedding of white and green
Oh what a beautiful scene

A proud father walks her down the aisle
And it felt as if they were walking a mile
As she walked she did not falter
By the time they reached the altar

They said their scared vows
The audience gave their wows
The couple walk down the aisle
Again, it felt as if it were a mile

A happy couple they will be
They were beaming with glee
A couple deeply in love
They were like two doves
