Bless the Father of our Lord,
Who has blessed us in Jesus Christ;
Blessing us if in one accord,
With the One that was sacrificed.
For every spiritual blessing,
Flowing from heavenly places;
Repenting our transgressing,
Showing mercy His good graces.
Even as He has chosen us;
Before the foundation of earth;
That we should be holy as thus,
In love from Him before your birth.
He destined us for adoption,
For being His sons and daughters;
That is giving us an option,
When through the baptismal waters.
For the good pleasure of His will,
Praising of His glorious grace;
That He is blessing to instill,
We are His beloved to embrace.
Through His blood we have redemption,
Forgiveness of our trespass;
Richness of grace through confession,
Erasing where you transgress.
Grace gives us wisdom and insight,
Making known of His mystery;
And showing us of His delight,
Throughout recorded history.
A plan for the fullness of time,
Unites things on Heaven and earth;
As a means to abolish crime,
That has followed you since your birth.
We have obtained an inheritance,
Predestined unto His purpose;
Granted for faith and penitence,
That the Gospel does encompass.
