Please do not be ignorant,
As being too uninformed;
Sleeping makes you arrogant,
No hope if you are not warned.
For since we believe in Christ,
He had died and rose again;
Fell asleep as sacrificed,
For the remission of sin.
For this we declare to you,
By the Word of our Lord;
Him being alive is true,
Likewise being your reward.
In the grave we are asleep,
Until Jesus does return;
No more will we ever weep,
With salvation that we earn.
For the Lord then will descend,
From Heaven with trumpet cry;
Awakening all to ascend,
To this earth we say goodbye.
Then all who are still alive,
Will be caught up together;
The Lord meets when we arrive,
Above the clouds we gather.
So we shall then meet the Lord,
Comfort one another;
For being in one accord,
To be sister and brother.
