THE KING'S PRISONER

King Asomoe of Wesbeldom had a set of male twins from his wife Empress Lily. But the children had been swapped deliberately upon delivery by her nurse and given wrong birth certificates. It wasn't in the days of scientific innovation. But each wanted to be King. Atae, was the elder and Alfred, the perceived younger. But Atae showed no quality of a king. Instead, he delibrately hung around with worse elements, took weeds and abused substance. Meanwhile, Alfred who was well behaved secretly desired and wished he could be King, although he saw no chance of being one since it "never fell to him by birth order " as he supposed. Time went on and King Asomoe died. Before his demise, his wife's nurse took ill and made a confession which she felt could save her life, that she "was heavily paid the sum of two million Sprankanfiles by her in-laws, the king's relatives to carry out the deed so as to have them control the Kingdom, since Atae, instead of King Alfred would likely become a 'stubborn king' and would not accede to their wishes. Not long after, she died on her own, but the birth order mistake was corrected, which led to the ensuing problem when the King Asomoe died. King Alfred assumed the throne, but there was already confusion. His younger brother, though proven truly to be the younger and yet irresponsible, wanted to be King, always hired a set of bandits to attack the kingdom. King Alfred wouldn't hesitate and arrested and imprisoned and took care of him till his death in the prison. He became the King's prisoner.
