My Poetry
Peaceful Day
All of the pine trees are green as the grass
The sun's rays make the water looks like glass
Being indoors is something that I will pass
Thank goodness that there is no need for hats
God's work is seen in all of nature
I looked around and saw a few creatures
They were playing, they were chasing each other
The pine tree that I was under, I was using as a cover
Birds singing, butterflies flying all around
I was at a place that I could not be found
The gentle wind was blowing against my skin
I felt at ease, and for me the day was a win
This is the day that I'm gonna rejoice in
And what a wonderful day it has been
Giving God all of the honor and glory
I am reading in the Bible about Daniel's story
The Word of God is amazing to me
And by reading it, it has set me free
This is the day that I'm going to be thankful for
And thank the Lord, for there is peace and not war
