The Backyard Of My Life

Tomorrow Is Always Another Day

Sunset has disappeared into the painted clouds
Whatever mistakes i made are lost in the night
While i was looking for changes dreams drift away
Goodbye to sorrow tomorrow is always another day

Tears of guilt regrets doubts and fears cast a shadow
Over the eternal struggle at the battle of evermore
As the smoke settles on the water i thought i heard somebody say
Forget all the corruption tomorrow is always another day

Ships sailing in sand turn to dust in the wind
Whispering wishes waiting for the bells to toll
Cruising ahead counting the ways
One direction takes you years another takes you days

In the morning sacrifices stick out like splinters in my mind
Burning all the phony promises from the past
Made by fake plastic people with faces of clay
Farewell to misery tomorrow is always another day

Storm on the horizon thunder crashes in the sky
Stranger walking to the rhythm of the rain
Ill take my time ill gather my things ill be on my way
Never looking back tomorrow is always another day

Long letters written on short pieces of paper
Similar situations searching for gold
While the congregation hopes and prays
One can take a lifetime one can take you days
Tomorrow is always another day
Tomorrow is always another day
Tomorrow is always another day
