 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
In the Lord I take refuge,
How can you say to my soul;
To the mountain that is huge,
While the Lord will console.

The wicked will bend the bow,
Fitting arrows to the string;
Shooting in dark they will go,
Towards the heart where they will fling.

If foundations are destroyed,
Then what can the righteous do?
Powerful weapons deployed,
Pray to God to see them through.

The Lord is in His temple,
And His throne is in Heaven;
His eyes beholds His people,
A test His children given.

The Lord will test the righteous,
But His soul hates the evil;
And will be giving justice,
Condemning to the devil.

The one who loves violence,
He will be showering coals;
Scorching wind with pestilence,
Fiery brimstone burn souls.

For the Lord loves righteousness,
While loving righteous deeds;
His mercy shows graciousness,
To the upright who succeeds.
