 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

If I do what I do not want,
Then I would agree with the Law;
Even though others mock and taunt,
That is good because of no flaw.

It is no longer I who do,
But the sin that dwells within me;
It is no more that I construe,
Rather that God helps me to see.

I would want to do what is right,
But not able to carry out;
While trusting in the insight,
And never shedding any doubt.

I do not do the good I want,
Rather the evil I do not;
Although Satan does try to haunt,
It is only good that is sought.

It is no longer I who do,
Rather sin that dwells within me;
Because it sticks inside like glue,
Someone I do not want to be.

So I find it to be a Law,
That when I want be doing right;
Evil lies close to make a flaw,
By turning off the righteous light.

I delight in the Law of God,
My inner being as a man;
Because I do honor and laud,
For He has the most perfect plan.

I see other laws waging war,
Against the Law within my mind;
Making me captive for a scar,
To divert from Glory Divine.

Such a wretched man that I am,
Who will deliver me from death;
To bring me closer to the lamb,
Giving me a new life and breath.

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ,
I myself serve the Law of God;
Let not my flesh to be enticed,
That no longer will I be flawed
