The Backyard Of My Life

Matilda Pretty Little Maid

Matilda Pretty Little Maid

Spanish Matilda shes a pretty little maid
Shes the kind of girl you want to serenade
Maybe someday i will send you a pink rose
After midnight i wonder where she goes
Wearing black and white overalls she takes to any task
She says to be weak is miserable
If you want something then all you got to do is ask

Shes so polite and punctual shes a pretty little thing
She lights up any room you can hear her heart sing
Scrubbing floors dusting shelves with dignity and care
She could make the most honest man think about having an affair
In a world of constant attention everybody's got something to sell
Shes a lady who cant be bought
You got me day dreaming you got me under a spell

Matilda my love here's a sonnet for you
She looks so beautiful wearing ribbons and bows
I don't know what I'm gonna do
She makes me feel something I've never felt before
If i hadn't seen such riches i could live with been poor

Shes a tenacious teaser with the world on a string
With a heavenly presence that only the righteous bring
Its the small sacrifices she makes day to day
Shes worth every penny of her earned pay
When the silver moon sparkles under neon skies
Shes lost in a dance of the butterflies
Shes always at the center of any circle

Spanish Matilda shes a magnificent motel maid
May the sunshine all the time and it never rain on her parade
In a paradise of pleasure shes a queen without a crown
She would put you in your place if you tried to bring her down
Her soul is a garden where wildflowers bloom
you'll be enchanted by the smell of
Her sweet sweet perfume

Matilda my love these words where written for you
She looks so wonderful wearing colourful clothes
I don't know what I'm gonna do
She makes me feel something I've never felt before
There's a do not disturb sign hanging on the door
