Tuning in

Being knee high in a world
awash with wave after wave of
messages swollen on the surface,
when is best to bend oneself and
and wait to become receptive?

Turn a left-side dial, right with
skill of a safe cracker or surgeon.
The length of the waves will
reveal slightest differences
between amuse and a noise.

Cross make-believe borders
where home-town tongues
hang around long enough
to avoid the static and
become stereo clear.

On some of these nights,
with bits of beginner's luck
one could hear heaven from here.
Inspiration is allowed to kiss
what can be heard and retold.
