Is there anything, that leaves no trail Of evidence behind, I submit there's a Preponderance of evidence, which Speaks loudly, it indeed exists Incoming tides, wash footprints away Leaving no trail of the little feet, that Took much delight in making them On a sunny, summer day. Leaves of red and yellow fall, as autumn blew Its breath, sending them into a lovely dance As they tumbled from the trees, banishing them Far away, no trail of evidence Winter snows bury the flowers, they're Left dying from its frozen touch, leaving No trace of the cheerful colors, we had Enjoyed so much Tears wiped away, from a tiny face, a Cuddle up in Mother's arms, brings a Smile again, off to playland, no evidence No trace of tears, left on his sweet face. The list goes on endlessly, of things that Leave no evidence of ever having been Yet, there is one thing that always leaves A trail of evidence A trail that cannot be washed away, nor Wind will ever harm, no winter snow shall Ever kill the lovely rose again, it will bloom Eternally, it's beauty without end A trail, that gladdens the hearts of men And lends hope to those who've none, A trail that echos through eternity, that Our God is a God of love His Word is a perfect trail of evidence, of His undying love for all, If we walk in His Word, which is a perfect trail, it Will lead us saftly home.
