Lie not in wait O wicked one,
Against the home of the righteous;
Do no violence to the son,
To the daughter not licentious.
For the righteous falls seven times,
But will always rise up again;
But the wicked stumbles for crimes,
Without having the discipline.
Do not rejoice when your foe falls,
Let your heart be glad he stumbles;
While watching him as he crawls,
As his lip uttering mumbles.
Lest the Lord sees and be displeased,
Turning away anger from him;
You should never let him be teased,
As his emotions growing grim.
Fret not because of evildoers,
Be not jealous of the wicked;
Always be righteous pursuers,
To the darkness not addicted.
For evil men have no future,
The wicked lamp will be put out;
Never to be a new creature,
Because their mind is full of doubt.
Revere the Lord and fear the King,
Meddle not with those otherwise;
For resistance to change will bring,
A hardened heart and blinded eyes.
Calamity suddenly rise,
A disaster shall ruin them;
Because of cheating and their lies,
For lack of faith God will condemn.
