My Poetry

Spring Showers

Spring showers start pouring down on me
It doesn't matter, because I feel so free
The cool wind blows across my skin
And across my face is a huge grin

A rainbow on display for all to see
A beautiful sight we can all agree
A bunch of puddles are all around
Each raindrop falls to the ground

The winter's snow is almost gone
A new season has began to dawn
A peaceful day, I do declare
And I will say a small prayer

A rain puddle is set before me
And I jump in it as I feel free
I am like a kid; a child at heart
A journey home, I'll have to start

A peaceful day is coming to an end
Tomorrow will have to wait, my friend
The moon is starting to rise high in the sky
Tomorrow is another day, my butterfly

The rain now has gone away
Just to come back another day
The moon's light shines so bright
Oh what a beautiful sight

The moon's glow is all around me
It makes me feel happy and free
The cold wind kisses my skin
And now it's the time to go in
