Righteous are You O Lord,
Being right are Your rules;
Your judgments You afford,
Divide us from the fools.
Your testaments command,
Faithfulness appointed;
While placing Your hand,
The humbled anointed.
My zeal has consumed me,
Since foes forget Your Word;
They scoff at Your decree,
Their closed ears have not heard.
Your promise is well tried,
Your Word is very pure;
It cannot be denied,
As Your servant is sure.
I am small and despised,
Yet remember Your Law;
Your precepts are devised,
Avoid getting a flaw.
Righteousness forever,
Because Your Law is true;
Changeless not to sever,
For mankind to construe.
Found anguish and trouble,
But Your Law my delight;
Since I do not languish,
Evil not in my sight.
Righteousness ever last,
Construed that I may live;
No dark shadow will cast,
The peace that You will give.
