Legacy of the Earth Day 001

Legacy of the Earth Day 001

Look at what we left behind.
A broken world, with elements
of humanity there for you to
find.

Our time here is done, as we
the people of Earth look for
a new home. Your adventure has
only just begun.

We tried to save what we could,
the eco system suffered and the
wild-life paid the price.
Hunted to extinction, as the rivers
flowed with their blood.

The skies became toxic, and all
plant life and woodland burned, which
consumed everything.

Our scientists knew this would happen,
mistakes from our history, a lesson from
which we had not learned.

My heart is broken, because I see the harm
we have caused.
I'm sorry for leaving you this fragile world.
Left lawless, and baron, with no rules written
to bring order, and no words spoken.

This is the legacy of the Earth day 001, is the
time your world will begin again.
Look at what we left behind, for you to find.
A world fractured at the seems, a place full of
darkness and solitude.

Where once there was a jewel full of dreams.

Look at what we left behind, a desolate and
baron landscape. This is a problem for those
we have left, as the dying embers of our world
until there's nothing to find.

Sea levels rose, as the polar ice-caps melted.
Storms ravaged coastal islands, the poorest suffered
the most.
Earthquakes ruptured underground pipelines, as
weak and unstable buildings crumbled to dust.

Manmade metal structures; simply left to
rot and rust.

There is so much confusion, every political
remit was passed. Debates thrown around
across all nations, and never coming to a
conclusion.

We lost the battle, and conceded to the
fact, that this was to be our fate.

Time has finally run out. There is no
way of turning back. We tried to do the
right thing. But, as usual, we left it
too late.
